Be a "Secret Shopper/Donor".
At Goodwill, they collect donated items, sell them in their stores and use the revenue to fund job training programs that prepare individuals with individuals with disabilities and disadvantages for competitive employment. Feedback from both shoppers and donors is incredibly important. Their stores are far from perfect. They would like to hear from prospective shoppers on what they are doing right in store and what could be improved. How is the selection? How was their customer service? What are the positives about the location? Negatives?
Donations are accepted in the rear of our stores. They want to know things like- Were your greeted in a friendly manner? Did someone help you unload your donation? Were you offered a receipt for tax purposes? They could use the unbiased feedback to improve their operations within stores and donation centers. It seems far more powerful to garner this feedback from people outside of Goodwill management. A "checklist" of sorts for volunteers to zoom in on will be provided.
