reach offers multi-lingual, culturally sensitive services to low-income Camden County youth and their families. And now LUCY is growing! A new 10,000-sq.-ft. multi-purpose building is being planned and LUCY needs help -- a lot of help! -- preparing the space for its children, young adults, and families.
The existing building will remain and is in need of much work. This project is the true smorgasbord of volunteer projects, with all kinds of indoor and outdoor tasks necessary: indoor and outdoor cleaning and painting, landscaping, decorating, assembling furniture, even prepping and cooking meals. If you want to dig in and get your hands dirty with a wide range of volunteer possibilities, this may be the project for you!
- Painting 6 different areas, primarily on first floor.
- Cleaning and organizing rooms, basement, back yard, and shed
- Cutting grass, trimming, weeding and mulching flower beds
- Repurposing and reworking rooms to make them more efficient spaces
- Arts and crafts - photo boards, bulletin boards, common spaces, etc.
- Preparing meals for 20-25 people that can be frozen until needed (Casseroles, Mac & Cheese, pasta & meatballs, etc.) - Can be cooked off-site and brought to Lucy.
