Christian Caring Center

The Christian Caring Center is a faith-based nonprofit in South Jersey that offers emergency shelter and food resources to individuals in need. The Christian Caring Center helps qualifying families with vouchers for a short period of shelter in participating motels. It also provides emergency short term shelter in motels for individuals under different conditions.

Homelessness:

Short-period shelter for the newly homeless

Code Blue for life-threatening weather conditions

Prevention program provides rent/mortgage assistance during a crisis

Food Insecurity

Vouchers provided 2x a month for a 3-day supply of food

Hot lunch is served daily at the center (delivery on Wed & Fri to our short-period shelters and those living outside)

Holiday Basket Program

Food/supplies baskets are handed out for holidays and back to school, even including a voucher for shoes

Village Thrift Shop

Provides vouchers for clothes and household goods

Recovery, Sobriety and Job Training

Operates a four-bed men’s shelter in Pemberton dedicated to helping men in recovery from substance abuse issues. Also provide avenues for work experience and job training in retail, food service, maintenance, janitorial and office administration skills.
