Who We Are

We connect people with resources propelling individuals and families to reach their fullest potential to create a thriving community. In order to achieve our mission, we invest in programs, community partnerships, and volunteer engagement in youth and family success, economic vitality and health and wellness.

What We Do

The United Way of Greater Mercer County has three major initiatives under which all of its programming falls:

FINANCIAL SECURITY

UWGMC addresses the obstacles that prevent working families from getting ahead financially. It helps families meet their basic needs while gaining the financial capability to plan for and accomplish, their long-term financial goals. For families walking a financial tightrope, unable to save for college, a home, or retirement, it is ready to help.

YOUTH SUCCESS

UWGMC promotes early reading and college readiness. It strives to provide families with exposure to books, access to technology, and enrichment opportunities to nurture success.

ACCESS TO HEALTH

UWGMC understands that good health is both a community responsibility and a community benefit. By partnering with community based organizations throughout Mercer County, it is working to create a more resilient community.
