When gearing up for the Thanksgiving holiday, the Oaks Integrated Care food pantries distribute upwards of 2500 complete Thanksgiving meals to their consumers and the general public. Each person receives a frozen turkey and a bag of sides to make a complete Thanksgiving meal for four people. The "dry goods bags" typically contain, boxed stuffing and mashed potato mix, a gravy packet, a can of of green beans, a can of mixed fruit or a dessert and cranberry sauce. The Holman volunteers would assist with assembling the dry goods bags to prepare us for distribution.
