Based in Grapevine, Texas, GRACE is a nonprofit relief agency that provides food, clothing, financial assistance, and other vital necessities to people who are struggling with a limited income or recent emergency. Its Donation Station collects clothing and household items that help these local folks put together a decent life. All of these donations need to be sorted to make sure they can get to GRACE clients in a timely manner. Among other activities, volunteers will:
• Unloading donations from vehicles & sorting items into appropriate area. Assist donor with a receipt, if asked.
• Sort items even further once inside the building.
• Testing electronic equipment ensuring items are in working order.
• Scan book barcodes for pricing and possible sale on auction sites.
• Inspect board games and puzzles to ensure all pieces are present.
• Perform various duties as asked by staff.
