The UrbanPromise Food Co-Op is a joint effort of several Camden nonprofits in partnership with Philabundance and Farmers Against Hunger. The Co-op engages the community in creative ways to alleviate food scarcity, while empowering local citizens to share food and resources with their neighbors. Since 2014 Food Co-Op membership has grown from 100 to 400 registered families. You can help keep this essential service a reality by volunteering to perform the tasks that keep its doors open: sorting and organizing donations, cleaning, and other assorted light maintenance.
