CPS is seeking assistance with a project to refresh their bathrooms by updating them with warm, welcoming paint colors. Additionally, they would like to explore the possibility of building flower beds in our parking lot to plant flowers.

They would love your help in having a BBQ for their community lunch and street outreach. They could also use help in their emergency food pantry & organizing their food storage and clothing areas.

Construction volunteers are the foundation of Habitat of for Humanity of South Central New Jersey. Without your help, lots remain empty and families remain in unsuitable living conditions.

Join them at their build site in Cherry Hill! Potential tasks: Painting, flooring, and finishing tasks (they expect this to be the last month of the build). 

Please note: Tasks are not guaranteed and are dependent on the weeks progress as well as other conditions such as weather.

AWA would like to build on the momentum of last years Days of Caring where volunteers successfully built a pollinator garden in one of their parking islands.  They are hoping to establish a second pollinator garden!

Help at their Maple Shade ReStore! Tasks vary on a weekly basis but may include: Unloading donation trucks, processing and pricing donations, organizing items on our sales floor, furniture assembly, and more!

Waiver is required via their online portal.  Your Team Lead will be sent these instruction (from H4H) which must be completed prior to arrival. 

Prepping for their teacher appreciation event in May. 

Possible tasks would include creating gifts for teachers and supporting the store in taking down and setting up for the event.

They ask that all volunteers, dress appropriately for working in a warehouse or store; close toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing, as their warehouse does get cold or very warm depending on the weather. There is plenty of parking in front of the building.

A waiver is required which can be done either when volunteers show up or through the link they will send to sign up for the event in their portal.

Each year, Oaks Integrated Care supply all of the children in Oaks programs and adults who participate in programs who have children at home, with filled backpacks for the start of the new school year. In addition, we supply between 500-800 bags to youth residing in Camden for a total of approximately 2000 filled back packs distributed in August at our annual Touch a Truck event.

Volunteers may be required to lift 25lb boxes. We have carts to assist with transport if needed.

Support their Fresh Food Market by helping stock the shelves, distribute id vouchers, work with community, sort through donations, and so much more.

Beaverton City Park cleanup - Solve is seeking support for a community litter-removal and neighborhood beautification project. The project centers on hands-on volunteer work including removing trash and litter, improving pedestrian and cyclist safety, and enhancing the overall appearance of shared public spaces.

The project is team-based, with volunteers working in small, guided groups to ensure safety, efficiency, and a positive experience.

All supplies provided!

Volunteers can expect to help with a Spring outdoor cleanup including landscaping and planting at Legacy's Children's Home Campus in Mt. Holly. Wear comfortable clothing you won't mind getting dirty.

The San Diego Food Bank is looking for help to sort and pack food.

Hopeworks is seeking volunteer support for a multi-part engagement day that combines career readiness support with hands-on beautification efforts at our CRIB site.

Volunteers will participate in two primary project areas:
Mock Interviews and Career Readiness Support
Volunteers will conduct one-on-one mock interviews with their young professionals, providing real-time feedback, interview coaching, and encouragement. This helps participants build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and prepare for competitive job opportunities.

CRIB Outdoor/Gardening Support
A separate group of volunteers will assist with gardening and outdoor beautification at their CRIB property. This may include planting, weeding, general landscaping, and light outdoor clean-up to help maintain a welcoming and supportive living environment for the young adults in transitional housing.

The day will also include a brief huddle and tour so volunteers can better understand our mission and the impact of their support.

Beach Cleanup at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park's Playground

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County operates a Bike Exchange (BEX) that is completely volunteer or staff-directed, and helps to fulfill and support their mission. Through this program, high school students have the opportunity to complete Work Based Learning Programs and all proceeds directly benefit the youth. 

Volunteers are needed to help to refurbish and repair used bikes that have been donated to the club and prepare them for resale. No previous experience is needed!

LUCY is looking for a small group of volunteers to assist with a several projects:

1. reorganize & rebuild 2 small closet in the basement (rip out shelving and assemble/ insert new shelving)
2. hang two large whiteboards on the walls of program offices
3. bike maintenance (minimal repairs/air in tires/ fixing brakes, etc.)
4. food pantry organization

Parking is available on the side streets

The bulk of the work will take place in the basement - steep stairs and no elevator available (for that specific location of the building).

Volunteers will assist with inspecting, sorting, and packing donated for distribution. Volunteers may assist with cleaning.

All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes as a safety requirement.

Holman's volunteer team will support Love Ministries Outreach International in preparing and distributing food to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in our community. The day will include hands-on service such as sorting and packing food items, assembling meal and grocery bags, assisting with setup, and supporting on-site food distribution.

Team members will also help with organizing supplies, and ensuring the distribution runs smoothly and efficiently. This service opportunity provides a meaningful, direct way to support our neighbors while working alongside our volunteers to meet a critical community need with dignity and care.

The food distribution will take place outdoors in a parking lot, with restrooms conveniently located in an adjacent building.

Volunteers are welcome to bring their own lunch, and they will have water available throughout the day.

Working gloves are required and will be provided on-site.

Additionally, required waivers must be completed on the day of the event.

Join ErinoakKids and make an impact in the lives of young children with differing abilities.

Volunteers will be assisting the classroom instructors with the programming needs for the young students with Autism. They may assist with Arts & Crafts, Story-time, Sensory Play, fine and gross motor skills etc. They will have fun with the young children and have an impact on their learning and development.

They offer free parking on site in their gated lots, please bring in your ticket and they will validate it for you.

Required forms will be given to the team leads.

Goodman Jewish Family Services supports those who face daily challenges, including the normal transitions of life, new and unexpected hardships and immediate crises.

You will be sorting food & packing bags to distribute to the clients at The Cupboard.

Under the guidance of Broward Partnership’s Food Service staff, your group works together to prep meals in their kitchen, serve it in their dining room and then help to clean up and get ready for the next meal.

Breaking Bread, Breaking Barriers, is a true behind-the-scenes look at the services the Partnership provides. Your group will learn who those experiencing homelessness are in Broward County, and how you can help break the cycle of homelessness.

Requirements:

2-Please bring drivers license. On arrival, each volunteer over 18 year old will have their drivers license scanned through RAPTOR, which scans for registered sex offenders.

Join Gloucester Habitat for Humanity for a day of volunteering in its ReStore! You will be doing some Interior painting, exterior painting (weather permitting) and other retail related tasks.

For Holman Days of Caring, volunteers would come in to clean and overhaul the Share Backpack Program Warehouse area and the Share Outreach Program supply shelves at their Fromhold Service Center Warehouse.

Day 1:  Wednesday April 22nd, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

o          Move pallets into Classroom (required: pallet jack experience or willingness to be trained) 

o          Empty half of the Outreach shelves, organize supplies, and reload shelves 

o          Pack Outreach Food Kits 

o          Clean and organize school pantry area 

o          Sweep, mop, vacuum shelves and storage areas 

o          Organize supplies on back onto shelves and into pallet corral 

Carpooling is a great option, as parking can be tight in this area and at the Share House shelter. The kitchen is on the ground floor of the building.

May include one or more of the following projects:
Leaf Cleanup: This project involves raking, collecting, and moving fallen leaves around the refuge. It is critical in maintaining walkways, recreational areas, and around our animal enclosures. This project improves aesthetics, and safety for our visitors, as well as the animals in our care. This project is critically needed.

Brush and Branch Cleanup: This project involves collecting and moving excess fallen brush and branches around the refuge. It is important for the same reasons as leaf cleanup. There are areas where recent tree work was done, and this cleanup is critically needed.

Trail Maintenance: This project involves using pruning tools to trim plant material on overgrown trails. This project is important in maintaining the size and function of the trails.

Reblaze Trail Color Marking: This project involves using paint to mark existing trail markers that have become faded. This improved the navigability of our trails.

Paint Releasable Enclosures: This project involves painting our animal enclosures that are unpainted, or in need of fresh paint. This improves the appearance, and also protects the wooden structures.

Removing Introduced White Pine: This project involves using tools to cut down small/emergent introduced white pine trees. They have overtaken certain areas, and are a potential hazard due to their tendency to fall over when mature. This is important for promoting more native species to grow.

You will meet at the Nature Center Building (4 Sawmill Road, Medford, NJ 08055).  It is the red colored building surrounded by the picnic/play areas.  Some GPS directions do not precisely have their entrance pinpointed so please look for the Nature Center signs.

This project will be outside (in all weather conditions) so please dress accordingly. Please wear sneakers and comfortable clothing. Parking will be limited in school parking lot and volunteers will need to find street parking. Carpooling is encouraged.

Octavius V. Catto Family School in the East Side Neighborhood at 3100 Westfield Ave, Camden, NJ 

2 step registration process:

This project will be on a school grounds.

1. Weed, trim bushes, and put a nice mulch trim around the outdoor classroom area (outside Student Center)  

2. Paint and fix all picnic tables, benches in the playground 

3. Mulch playground space for children.

Support the Food Co-Op operation for some spring cleaning of their operating space and cleaning all of the  refrigerators, freezers, and food bins.

Volunteers should be able to lift approximately 25 pounds without assistance.

Volunteers will be assisting with miscellaneous activities such as preparing food hampers for client pick up, sorting food donations - organic or non perishable, or frozen goods, helping to inventory donations, etc.

Parking is available in front of the building.

Through programs like our Pop-Up Pantry, The Salvation Army Camden Kroc Center meets urgent community needs with dignity providing healthy groceries to approximately 250 families over three hours and adapting our services to ensure no one goes without food, no matter their circumstances.

Duties:

• Sort, stock, and break down boxes.

• Transport food to and from the pantry.

• Meet, greet, and intake community guests.

• Help guests pick out groceries and keep tables stocked while providing excellent customer service.

• Help take groceries to vehicles.

• Some assignments may require standing, reaching and bending at lifting.

2. Guided Tour - Care Closet, Academic and program spaces, Scholarship and career readiness areas, Overview of how essentials support youth stability, confidence, and school success

3. Service Project: Pack with Purpose - Volunteers divide into one or two teams, Snack Pack Assembly, Prepare grab-and-go snack bags for youth experiencing food insecurity, Hygiene Kit Assembly, prepare toiletry kits to ensure youth have access to basic necessities. Volunteers will also help stock our Care Closet shelves with donated packages.

You will begin with a 10-15 minute group orientation to HUF and then divide the volunteers into the following activities:
• Circle Time (Reading) for Unity 4Kids
• Organizing Baskets for their May Thank You Reception for their Free Tax Preparation year-round volunteers
• Packing dry non-perishable foods into bags for delivery
• Support Thursday’s Cooking Demonstration & Folder Production for Q2-Q3 Client Outreach
• Support Pre/Post Survey Outreach to Clients (Spanish Speakers Only)

Spend the day at the Collingswood Manor to help freshen up their facilities, while also brightening the residents day through a few activities. Tasks will include morning gardening and an afternoon spent interacting with residents by doing crafts, games & BINGO!

Volunteers will be assembling hygiene kits and making no-sew blankets to distribute to their patients.

The goal is to prepare 100 hygiene kits and make 25 no-sew blankets.

Any remaining hygiene products will be stored in our onsite patient pantry, the Compassion Cupboard, at Cherry Hill Free Clinic, where they will continue to support patients in need throughout the year.

Erindale Park is the largest park in Mississauga.  The City of Mississauga is requesting volunteers to assist in cleaning up the park.

Volunteers will also help assemble notice boards in the hallways to promote wellness, services offered, and more topics relevant to programming at the Wiggins Center.
