What We Do

United Way of Broward County Fights for the HEALTH, EDUCATION & FINANCIAL PROSPERITY of EVERY person in our community.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, United Way of Broward County is able to create and fund more than 100 vital programs and services in our community, while also operating our own life-changing initiatives. We find gaps in local services, innovate and implement effective and efficient solutions, and carefully monitor and measure each one to ensure it creates long-lasting, positive transformation.

Our Programs Include:

  • Readingpals: Mentor a child to make a difference in the life of a child.
  • Mission United: Proudly serving those who have served.
  • Project Lifeline: Coordinating the bulk purchase and delivery of fresh, nutritious food, including fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, rice, beans and grains.
  • Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention: A broad based substance misuse prevention and mental health promotion coalition dedicated to reducing negative consequences on individuals, families, and communities.
